Gathering Leaves Spades take up leaves No better than spoons, And bags full of leaves
Are light as balloons.

I make a great noise
Of rustling all day
Like rabbit and deer
Running away.

But the mountains I raise
Elude my embrace,
Flowing over my arms
And into my face.

I may load and unload
Again and again
Till I fill the whole shed,
And what have I then?

Next to nothing for weight,
And since they grew duller
From contact with earth,
Next to nothing for color.

Next to nothing for use.
But a crop is a crop,
And who's to say where
The harvest shall stop?

WE LOVE WINTER WAVES TO PLAY IN AND SHOW OFF OUR ABILITY TO SURVIVE THE "GIANT" WAVES. NOW MY WAVES SETS ARE 2FT TO 4FT. I AM LUCKY TO BE THERE AND DOING THAT.

Comment by Customer Service on November 23, 2010 at 6:16pm: Autumn is a fabulous time of year, as the season's flora comes to its peak, in color and maturity and then falls into the dead of winter, leaving behind the seeds of the future to bloom again in Spring, much like the children we leave behind from generation to generation as we bid farewell to the old and greet the new~ a sense of immortality for generations to come~! [ both in nature and in all life]
